I would like to buy a copy of this book that has been signed by the author please. Would you be so kind as to contact me to let me know if this is a possibility and how I could obtain it please. Thank you, I await hearing from you about this wonderful book.

Thank you for your interest in my book. I emailed you instructions on how to obtain a signed copy.

      Thank you,

  2. Bought your book off Amazon and I LOVED it. My fiancé and I always talk about going to Alaska like you guys did. I would really love to see the photos in your book in color. You should make a photo gallery on your website or blog!

    • Hello Katie,

That’s great news! Glad to hear that you bought my book and loved it! Thank you so much! I do have a lot of photo’s on my blog. You might have to scroll down a ways to see them. Also, I have a youtube video that you might enjoy; you can access it here: Whenever anyone tells me they want to go to Alaska, I always tell them, “To GO! You won’t regret it!” I hope you will take a few moments and give me a book review on amazon, since you bought your copy there! I’m working on a sequel now, and hope to have it ready for my editor by the end of the year! Thanks for taking the time to drop me a few lines. I love hearing from my readers. Bonnie

    Hi Bonnie and Sam,
I purchased your book on Amazon a few weeks ago. Just finished reading it a few minutes ago. I thoroughly enjoyed reading and living right along with you through what you experienced. Being terrified every time while you were traveling on the lake either in boat or walking or driving on the ice. My heart broke for Sam and you when Sam broke his back. I was amazed and admired both you for your drive and determination in completing what you’d set out to do. I could not put this book down. Looking so forward when your sequel comes out. Thank you so much for sharing your story with the rest of us. Gods Blessing upon you and your family.

    • Hi, Ulanda!
Thank you so much for purchasing my book! I am thrilled to hear that you enjoyed it! I am so glad you felt like you were living right along side of us . . . it was my goal that the reader could feel and experience Alaska and our adventures through my words! Thanks for taking the time to write! Bonnie

    Hi Bonnie,

I just finished reading your book-it was amazing!! My husband has taken a job in Kenai for three years to finish out his career and I still reside and maintain our household in the lower 48. I have been to Alaska 3 times to visit since he has relocated and every time I search out books to learn more about the local history and people that have truly lived life in the wilderness. I was at the Wildlife Refuge Center in Soldotna and came across your book. The volunteer at the desk recommended your book so I bought a signed copy of it. I found it hard to put down and finished it in less than a week. You and Sam are an inspiration to every person wanting to live their dreams but afraid to take the first step in achieving them. I can only hope one day to have the unshakable faith you carried with you throughout the trials and tribulations you experienced while living on the island. Thank you for sharing your story, it was an excellent read and exactly what I was looking for in a story about homesteading in Alaska.

    • Hello, Michele!

How wonderful to hear from you! I’m pleased to know that you enjoyed the book and found it “hard to put down!” It also thrills me to hear that a volunteer at the Wildlife Refuge recommended it to you. That’s great! I appreciate your kind words about my book, and the life that Sam and I lived in the wilderness. It is my hope that our story is an inspiration to others and a testimony to God’s blessings! He bestowed many upon us, and answered our prayers, time and time again! Thank you for taking the time to write me, Michele! It means a lot to me to hear from the folks that read and enjoyed Winds of Skilak! Keep an eye out for the sequel. It will be released soon.
